Role summary
Build and maintain integrations between the PBB platform and clinic systems—prioritizing reliability, observability, and safe degradation when external systems are unavailable.

Clinic workflows depend on accurate patient, visit, and catalog data. Integration quality affects member experience at checkout, reimbursement accuracy, and clinic staff efficiency.
First 6–12 month outcomes
- Deliver initial PMS integration milestones with monitoring and alerting.
- Establish integration testing patterns and staging environments.
- Document API contracts, error handling, and fallback behaviors.
- Partner with clinic onboarding on integration readiness criteria.
- Reduce manual reconciliation caused by integration gaps.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement clinic and PMS integrations (including Provet Cloud exploration).
- Build observability: logs, metrics, and alerts for integration health.
- Write integration tests and document failure modes.
- Collaborate with clinic partnerships on technical onboarding requirements.
- Support production incidents with runbooks and post-incident improvements.
Required qualifications
- Strong backend engineering skills (APIs, webhooks, data mapping).
- Experience with third-party integration patterns and idempotency.
- Comfort with SQL, schema design, and debugging distributed systems.
- Security-aware handling of clinic and member data.
Preferred qualifications
- Healthcare or veterinary practice management integration experience.
- Experience with Provet or similar PMS platforms.
- TypeScript/Node.js and PostgreSQL in production.
- Spanish language skills for clinic-side coordination.
