User Data Deletion
Instructions for Facebook Login users and anyone requesting deletion of personal data held by Paws Beyond Borders.
Overview
Paws Beyond Borders, LLC ("Paws Beyond Borders") uses Facebook Login (optional) so you can sign in with your Facebook account through our authentication provider, Clerk. When you use Facebook Login, we may receive information Facebook shares with us — typically your name, email address, and Facebook user ID — to create and secure your membership account.
Meta requires apps that access Facebook user data to provide a way to request deletion of data obtained through Facebook. This page explains how to disconnect Facebook from your account and how to request deletion of your data from Paws Beyond Borders.

Option 1 — Remove the app from Facebook
If you only want to disconnect Facebook Login (and stop Facebook from sharing new data with us), remove Paws Beyond Borders from your Facebook account:
- Open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Select the Active tab.
- Find Paws Beyond Borders and choose Remove.
- Confirm removal when prompted.
Removing the app disconnects Facebook from your sign-in options. It does not automatically delete your Paws Beyond Borders membership account, billing history, pet records, or visit data we already stored. To delete those, use Option 2 below.
Option 2 — Request deletion of your data
To request deletion of your Paws Beyond Borders account and personal data (including data originally received through Facebook Login), contact us with the email address tied to your account:
- Email help@pawsbeyondborders.com with the subject line Data deletion request
- Or use our contact form and select a privacy-related topic
Include in your request:
- The email address on your Paws Beyond Borders account
- Whether you signed up with Facebook, Google, Apple, or email
- Confirmation that you want your account and associated personal data deleted
We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before processing the request.
What we delete
After we verify your request, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, including profile information, pet details, membership records, documents you uploaded, and authentication links (including Facebook Login identifiers stored with our auth provider).
What we may retain
We may retain certain records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Payment and billing records processed by Stripe (tax, accounting, and fraud prevention)
- Visit and reimbursement records needed for clinic settlement, disputes, or audits
- Security and audit logs retained for a limited period
Retained data is limited to what is necessary and is not used for marketing.
Processing time
We aim to confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or an active billing or dispute matter. We will email you when deletion is complete or if we need additional information.
Active membership
If you have an active paid membership, cancel billing first through your member dashboard (Manage billing) or email billing@pawsbeyondborders.com before requesting account deletion, so you are not charged after your data is removed.
